Philosophilus is an ancient Athenian philosopher and curmudgeon reputedly being channeled by a man named Richard Calkins. It has been said that the channeling is facilitated by the fact that Mr. Calkins is as much a curmudgeon as is Philosophilus himself.
During their discourses, Philosophilus has learned much about modern times and post-Athenenian history from Mr. Calkins. Not surprisingly, Philosophilus does not approve of most of what he has learned; but then, he doesn’t approve of much of anything.
